ROADSIDE" CAST LIST:
SYNOPSIS:
Five young twenty -somethings are taking a trip for spring break.
A long the way they stop through a desert town
that is centered around "Jimmy's Rib-Shack".
Little do they know that this Rib-Shack is run
by a psycho family that are serving human remains
of people that have passed through town.
However, not all the people that pass through are served for dinner.
Some end up serving dinner after a lobotomy is performed on them,
which ultimately turns them into mindless slave of the rib-shack.
These twenty-somethings are now fighting to survive
as they are chased down by the Rib-Shack family
and their ultimate killing machine who wields a machete.
KAREN:
20, delicate young woman, attractive, hidden behind a bit of insecurity.
She is the heroine of the film.
Her sister is April. April had gone missing and she longs to see her again.
A sexual situation at one point in the film.
Strong acting ability and running ability.
NICK:
21, Handsome and sensitive looking.
Wears clothes that look straight of a Abercrombie catalogue.
Karen's boyfriend. Strong acting ability and athletic.
SAM:
19, scrawny dweeb with an outgoing personality.
He holds a video camera for most of the film.
Strong acting ability and can run.
TOMMY:
Early 20's, extremely muscular, loves to drink beer and party.
He is dating Courtney.
Must be comfortable with sexual situations.
COURTNEY:
18, sexy young thing that adores her bolyfriend Tommy.
She wears skimpy clothes. She is the sex pot of the film.
The actress playing this role must feel comfortable with sexual situations.
VINCE:
28, tall and muscular. He is in the military and is very confident.
He is the bad ass of the film.
He is looking for his brother who went missing and was last seen in this town.
Tries to escape and help the other survivors escape from this town.
He smokes cigarettes.
Strong acting ability and athletic.
JIMMY:
50, The owner of the R ib-Shack. Wears a slick suit.
He is a psycho and the ring leader of the all the disappearances.
Must be a strong actor.
THE SHAPE:
The Killer of the film. He is a part of the psychotic family that runs the rib-shack.
He is a hulking male that wipes out nearly the entire cast.
Wears a mask most of the film. No lines.
CARL:
40's, eloquent looking. He is the brains of the operation.
He is a part of the psycho "Rib-Shack family"
and performs lobotomies on the Rib-Shack victim's,
which ultimately turns them into mindless slaves that work at the Rib-Shack.
GUS:
50's, Redneck in coveralls, with wickedly crooked teeth
who works at a gas station in the desert. Smokes a pipe.
Think Billy Bob Thornton on the movie U-Turn. Solid Character actor.
BOY:
Early 20's. he almost gets hit by the stars of the film in the desert.
He is a zombie-like character who has fell victim to the rib-shack.
One scene.
SHERIFF HENRY WILKINS:
50's, an old man who is the Sheriff of this desert hick town.
He ends up being a apart of the strange disappearances in this desert town.
Sexual situation with Karen.
APRIL/RACHEL:
19, cute blonde girl. This is Karen's sister who has gone missing.
She has fell victim to the Rib-Shack and is now a waitress at the Rib-Shack.
Her name at the Rib-Shack is Rachel.
One scene.
9-1-1 Operator:
Three lines. Takes an emergency call from Same. Voice work only.
WOMAN:
Two lines. She is eating at the Rib-shack the end of the film and
nearly breaks her tooth on what appears to be a human finger bone.
CUSTOMER# 1:
One line. He is a patron at the Rib-shack and
is enjoying his meal towards the end of the film.
